This workshop, led by award wining fine art photographer Kathleen Pace, is designed for photographers who want to move beyond simply taking “pretty pictures” and instead create portraits that carry meaning and story. Together, we’ll explore how to take an idea, shape it into a visual concept, and bring it to life through thoughtful direction, styling, and storytelling.
A model and a base concept will be provided, along with props for spontaneous experimentation. You will watch Kathleen photograph and direct her daughter Amelia, very briefly, in order can provide context for a starting concept. Then she will be supporting each student to create images that will bring their vision to life. This class is collaborative and not competitive, attendees will be encouraged to share ideas!
