Pour a glass of your favorite wine, step away from the digital screens, and join us for a hands-on workshop celebrating the beautiful imperfections of analog photography, and no cameras or tools required!

Pinot & Polaroids ® isn't your standard point-and-shoot photography class. In this relaxed, BYOB workshop, we will teach you how to treat Polaroid film as a canvas—ripping, slicing, and even floating film emulsion onto paper to create completely unique, textured pieces of art.

All you need to bring is your creative spirit, your favorite beverage, and sense of fun; we’ll provide the film and creative tools!

Whether you're new to instant photography or a longtime film enthusiast, using your digital files, you’ll learn a variety of techniques for pushing Polaroid film beyond the simple snapshot. From emulsion lifts and image transfers to scratching, painting, layering, and mixed-media embellishments, this workshop celebrates experimentation, happy accidents, and personal expression.

No photography experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to play. Come solo or with friends, sip your favorite drink, and leave with unique creations and fresh inspiration.

Instructor: Sarah Shea Roberto

Sarah Shea Roberto is a North Carolina–based photographer and visual artist whose work explores alternative photographic processes, including cyanotypes, photograms, and chemigrams. Working at the intersection of experimentation and tradition, she combines digital techniques with historic darkroom practices to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind images.

Her process-driven approach embraces the unpredictable nature of photographic materials, celebrating serendipity, spontaneity, and the beauty found in chance and imperfection. Through slow, sustainable, and hands-on methods, her work invites viewers to reconsider photography as both a creative act and a physical experience.
